artistic directors of the Marionettentheater Schloss
Schönbrunn
Christine Hierzer-Riedler and Werner Hierzer have been taking the magic
of marionette plays around the world for over 40 years.
Our productions are a culmination of years of training as
marionettists, collaboration with carefully selected set designers and
directors and above all a love for this wonderful art form. The secret
of our success is the combination of tradition with modern techniques,
as many international awards demonstrate.
As a private theatre we are very flexible and enjoy catering to
requests. For example, we can happily integrate a client’s
texts
or products into our plays, and we can offer performances with
subtitles and lines in foreign languages. Perfect preparation, years of
touring experience and a large company guarantee the smooth running and
year-round availability of our shows.
